Thatcher's Children - special edition with print
Thatcher's Children - special edition with print
Twelve years after Margaret Thatcher left office, she was asked what was her greatest achievement. She replied: ‘Tony Blair and New Labour.’
Thatcher’s Children builds on work Easton made in 1992 and examines the intergenerational nature of poverty in the UK as experienced by one extended family. The photographs are interspersed with political quotes that point to a structural acceptance of social inequality and excerpts from conversations with the family.
