Throughout history ideas and rules have been laid down from afar - the result of intellectual thinking or ideological dogma. The consequences of these ideas and how they play out for the people affected does not always follow the intended roadmap.

The ideology driven programme of constructing ‘famine roads’ in Ireland for example are very different to the locally demanded Cotton Famine Road in Rochdale. This work examines the outcomes of previous generations of ideological thought and challenges todays ‘thinkers’ to engage with the communities that will be affected by their ideas.
